    My kid adores

    It seems like this is a game changer in the barefoot world. Warm enough for cold autumn, waterproof, and suitable for wide feet with a high instep. Easy to wear, made of durable material, and lightweight. My kid adores running and jumping in puddles.

    Great shoes with room for improvement

    My son (8 yo) was really happy with the Reima Astelu barefoot shoes so we decided to try the autumn variant Loikkii as well. After three weeks of use, our opinions are mixed: - my son likes them, and they are light and flexible - they look good and seem to be waterproof (not tested in puddles yet) - the downside of the waterproofness means that his feet become sweaty, and the inside of the shoe wet. So I have to put paper in the shoes every night to make sure they are properly dry for the next day, which is inconvenient - the places where the toes bend, and the fabric as well, are now black instead of brown. I think this is dirt or water accumulating here - the upper layer of fabric is torn after playing in the woods Overall, I have to see how these shoes perform after a couple of months of wear, I prefer to hand down shoes to my younger son but I am not sure if this is going to be possible for the Loikkii. But we are huge Reima fans and I really appreciate the efforts to innovate and test with new styles and materials. So I hope this feedback can be used to improve the design for next year.
