    Poor Quality and Not At All Waterproof

    My son loves the fit and comfort of these shoes, but within about a month of wearing them the fabric around the entire ankle area started to deteriorate and eventually completely fell apart. They are also not at all waterproof (maybe water "resistant" to a little sprinkle of rain would be more accurate for the description?), My son's feet are ALWAYS wet when he wears these shoes (in snow, rain, any type of puddle, etc. it doesn't matter, they are always wet!). We went on a cold and snowy mountain hike the other day and half way through the hike my son's feet were soaking wet, which was terrible for the rest of the hike. It's such a shame because we love the style and ease of putting them on/off, but to constantly have cold wet feet in shoes that have fallen apart and look like they have been worn by 15 kids before him is not acceptable for the quality we expect from Reima. Hopefully their quality will improve for the 2026-2027 version of these shoes, because the 2025-2026 missed the mark for sure.
